About NilePhase Energy
We started NilePhase because we got tired of fixing other people's failed solar installs.
There is a quiet pattern across Ugandan rooftops: systems sized from a brochure, inverters left on factory defaults, batteries replaced every 18 months, and silence on the line when the owner calls back. We built NilePhase to do the opposite — measure the actual load, size from data, commission under test, sign the settings sheet at handover, and pick up the WhatsApp at year five. Engineering-led. Not sales-led. Solar engineers in Uganda you can actually reach.
Why We Exist
The problem with solar in Uganda
An estimated 75% of solar systems across Africa have stopped working within a few years of installation. In Uganda, the pattern is consistent: systems sized from a catalogue instead of a site assessment. Inverters left on factory defaults. No earthing. No commissioning report. No one to call when something goes wrong.
Clients pay millions of shillings and end up back on Yaka or running the generator — not because solar doesn't work, but because the installation was never engineered properly.
NilePhase was founded to break that cycle.

Our Approach
What makes NilePhase different
Engineered, not guessed
Every system starts with a load assessment. We calculate panel capacity, battery sizing, and inverter rating from your actual consumption — not from a product brochure.
Documented on every job
Every installation gets a commissioning report with inverter settings, wiring diagrams, and test results. Your system is traceable — not a mystery box.
We fix what others installed
A significant portion of our work is repairing and reconfiguring systems installed by other companies. Wrong settings, weak earthing, undersized cables — we've seen it all and we fix it.
Responsive after handover
We answer calls. We offer maintenance contracts. We don't disappear after you pay. After-sales accountability is built into how we operate — not an afterthought.
Our Clients
Who we work with
We serve anyone in Uganda who needs reliable power — but we specialise in clients who've been let down before or who need systems that actually perform under real conditions.
Homeowners
Families tired of Yaka volatility and unreliable grid supply. We size home systems to actual usage, not to a sales target.
Shops, Clinics & Schools
Small businesses and institutions where power outages mean lost revenue, spoiled stock, or interrupted services. We protect what matters.
Farms & Agribusiness
Solar water pumping, cold storage, and irrigation systems designed for the actual terrain and water table — not a standard kit.
Commercial & Industrial
Factories, hotels, hospitals, and data centres running 15kVA+ 3-phase systems with generator integration, full documentation, and maintenance SLAs.
The Company
NilePhase Engineering Ltd
NilePhase Energy is the trading name of NilePhase Engineering Ltd, registered in Uganda. We are based in Kampala and serve clients across the Central, Eastern, and Western regions.
Our team combines electrical engineering training with hands-on field experience across residential, commercial, and industrial solar installations. We work with verified equipment from brands including Deye, Victron, Growatt, and Luminous.
We are not a reseller. We are not a franchise. We are an engineering-led company that installs, commissions, documents, and maintains power systems — and takes responsibility for the result.
