What we do

Solar installation services in Uganda — what you actually get.

From a 3kVA home in Kira to a 20kVA hybrid in a Kampala SME — we design, install, commission and support solar systems that hold up after handover. Every job comes with a written load assessment before the quote, a settings sheet signed at handover, and a real human you can WhatsApp at year five — including for systems we did not install.

NilePhase delivers the full solar lifecycle in Uganda: site assessment, sizing, supply (lithium batteries, hybrid inverters from Felicity, Cworth, SRNE, Growatt), installation with proper earthing, commissioning under load, and after-sales maintenance contracts. Working in Kampala, Jinja, Mbarara, Mukono, Wakiso and Gulu. Most home systems land between UGX 4–12M, business systems UGX 15–45M, with itemised quotes and a settings sheet at handover.

Our services

Everything your power system needs

Residential, commercial, agricultural, industrial. We work across system sizes and sectors.

Solar Installation

Most solar failures start at installation — wrong sizing, poor earthing, inverters left on factory defaults. We do load analysis first, then design a system that matches your actual usage. Properly grounded, correctly configured, and documented before we leave.

  • Load and site assessment
  • Panel, battery and inverter selection
  • Structural and electrical installation
  • Earthing, bonding and protection
  • Commissioning and handover documentation

Repair & Troubleshooting

An estimated 75% of solar systems across Africa have stopped working — most from configuration errors, not hardware failure. We diagnose the root cause, give you a written fault report, and fix the actual problem. Including systems installed by other companies.

  • Root-cause diagnostic process
  • Written fault report
  • Inverter settings correction
  • Battery testing and replacement
  • Earthing fault diagnosis

Inverter Commissioning

A surprisingly large number of inverters in Uganda run on factory defaults — wrong charge voltages, wrong cut-offs, wrong generator priority. This kills batteries and voids warranties. We programme every parameter to your specific battery chemistry and usage pattern, and hand you a written settings sheet.

  • All major brands: Deye, Victron, Luminous, Growatt
  • Battery chemistry-specific settings
  • Generator ATS configuration
  • Written settings sheet on completion

Maintenance Contracts

After-sales abandonment is the #1 complaint in Uganda's solar market. Our maintenance contracts are the opposite: scheduled inspections, battery health checks, inverter parameter reviews, and priority fault response — on a fixed-fee contract so your system doesn't silently degrade.

  • Quarterly or bi-annual visits
  • Panel cleaning and mounting inspection
  • Battery voltage and SoC logging
  • Inverter performance report
  • Priority response on faults

Commercial & Industrial Systems

Ugandan manufacturers report 4–15 power interruptions per day and UGX 30M+ monthly in generator fuel. We deliver 15 kVA+ 3-phase hybrid systems with full as-built drawings, commissioning certificates, and maintenance SLAs — the documentation your insurer, auditor, and board actually need.

  • Energy audit and load profiling
  • 3-phase inverter design and install
  • Generator ATS integration
  • As-built drawings and commissioning report
  • Maintenance contract included

Technical Assessments

Buying a property with an existing solar system? Inheriting a poorly installed system? We provide independent technical assessments with a written condition report.

  • Full system audit and inspection
  • Battery health testing
  • Earthing and protection check
  • Inverter settings review
  • Remediation recommendations

How we work

Every project starts with understanding your load

Information asymmetry is the biggest problem in Uganda's solar market — buyers can't verify sizing, settings, or equipment quality. Our process eliminates that gap: you see what we measured, why we chose each component, and what settings we programmed.

  1. 01
    Site Assessment

We visit the site, measure your load, assess roof or ground space, and understand how you use power across the day. No assumption-based quotes.

  2. 02
    System Design & Quote

You receive an itemised quote with specific equipment, quantities, and explanation. Equipment is selected for performance and long-term reliability — not margin.

  3. 03
    Installation

Clean cable management, correct earthing, proper terminations. Not just functional — safe and inspectable. We photograph every stage.

  4. 04
    Commissioning & Handover

Every inverter is programmed on-site. You receive a written settings sheet and system handover document. We test under load before we leave.
